Check out MCEC’s (Military Child Education Coalition) is offering two free webinars this week. On January 18th, their Effective Listening webinar will provide the keys to effective communication between a parent and a child, proven discipline strategies that reinforce self-discipline and build self-esteem, and the do’s and don’ts of effective listening. On the following day, January 19th, MCEC is offering an interactive webinar to explore a variety of parenting styles, their strengths, and their weaknesses. Specific examples of the researched-based Balanced Parenting style will be shared including strategies for parents who want to transition to this style of parenting.
