Congratulations to rising Scholars Academy Magnet for Business and Law seniors Zierin and Perrin Thomas who were selected to attend Palmetto Girls State the week of June 13. This annual program allows students to simulate being a member of the legislature to better understand the process.

Richland Two Partners with Providence Health

Richland School District Two and Providence Health signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will allow students in four schools to enhance their discovery and knowledge about healthcare careers. The schools in the MOA are Bridge Creek Elementary Medical, Engineering and Discovery (MED) through Arts School; Rice Creek Elementary School of Academics, Innovation and Leadership (SAiL); Kelly Mill Med Pro Middle School; and Arts Innovation for Medical Sciences (AiMS) at Ridge View High School.

ATHLETICS: Open Baseball Workouts

Coach Sanders will be having open workout on Tuesday at 5pm on the Baseball Field at Ridge View High School. All participants must have a physical on life in PlanetHS.

ACADEMICS: Richland Two Education Foundation

The Calvin “Chip” Jackson Scholarship was established in memory of former Richland Two school board member and Richland County Councilman Chip Jackson. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to a qualifying student each year to pursue their dreams of earning a college degree. Mr. Jackson passed away unexpectedly in August 2020. Ridge View High School senior Yazmine C. Latimore is the first recipient of the $3,500 scholarship.
